I recently bought a used SKS that included a 90% full case of surplus ammuntion.
The ammunition has little paper slips inside the bags saying its 7.62x42. Anyone know what the deal with that is? Google didn't turn up any definative answers for me, just a bunch of info about silenced pistols. The rounds definatly look like typical 7.62x39's, and they're on 10 round stripper clips.
I figure the previous owner fired some of this ammuniton from the rifle, but I'd rather not make that assumption and have the rifle blow up in my face.
Cheers, Kyle
