Hey guys hoping that somebody could help me with info on this round and the rifles it is chambered for. I think it is a russian or czech round but not realy sure. My buddy has an almost full case of it in 20 round packs of 2x10 stripper clips. Case is of 1120 rounds and looks like nato markings. He needs to find a value$ Thanks
All I can find on an internet search is in russian or czech or something.

i'll have to look closer but it is clearly labeled "44" and they would have used stencils right
I noticed on my internet search that it is a listed caliber but I can't read the russian to look around the site

Does the Case have "7.63- 43" on it? If it does its Czech M43 7.62x39 ammo.

That's what I vote for, but you checked the markings.... If it is, it's very common and worth at most $200. If it happens to be the 7.62x45 for the VZ-52, it might be worth a bit more, but I'd be concerned that it might not all go "bang".

What colour is the case? What colour are the boxes? Are the rounds packed 20 to a box in 10 rnd stripper clips?

44 might refer to the design year of the cartridge. I think what you have is a case of 7.62 x 39mm.

Do you own a metric tape measure?
If so, tell exactly how long the CASE is, then we can tell you what you have.
