It hasn't been made in decades .
Once & a wile some old surplus shows up 100 or 2 at a time . Numrich had 7.62X39 chamber inserts
I bought one years ago but haven't installed it yet as I still have some 7.62x45 to use up .

If you find some, buy in bulk. It may not come up again. Hopefully PPU will start producing it but not indication they will.

Thanks for getting back to me....I saw something that peaked my interest, saw that it took 7.62x45, but then couldn't find the ammo anywhere. Based on your responses, looks like I will be passing. Too bad as I was taking a liking to the item.

Never seen any other gun in this country that took that calibre . I can't see anyone making that ammo now . Not enough demand

I like mine. Has been a restoration project for a while. If you like it but want to shoot one often, look for a vz52/57. Same gun, but in. 7.62x39. Have the 52, still looking to add a 52/57.

I'm sure there are recipes for making brass and reloading for 7.62x45.

Keep looking . If you like that model you can get a 52/57 . Same gun but factory made in 7.62x39

He said it was a vz52. Looks identical to a vz52/57, but the mags shape is a little different.
