So I was given a box of party mix .308 today by a friend of mine. Went through it and about half of them are reloads (.308 stamped brass) which I will put aside and pull apart eventually. I was able to pull some of the bullets out of the rounds by hand so seeing as I don't trust reloads of unknown origin to begin with I sure as hell don't trust these now.
Onto the fun part.
40 rounds were loose surplus marked DA 63 + (nato symbol).
The other 59 rounds of surplus are pictured below. Marked DA 63 + (nato symbol).
One of the little compartments had already been opened and is 1 round short. The rest remain unmolested. One end of the "sash"? has DAQ-431 punched through it.
What do these stripper clips fit?
To open or not to open the rest ... that is the question?
Any collector value to this stuff?
I don't even own a .308, I think this is the universe trying to tell me I need to go buy one. I wonder if the wife will buy that story lol
