Ok so my memory failed me while I was at W.S.S. picking up some reloading stuffs for the ole mosin nagant, and for some dumb reason I was thinking reloader 22 and now that is what ended up coming home with me:slap:.

I was wondering if any of you out there in reloader land have tried this combo? If so what is a safe starting load to work up from?
I see from my powder burn rate charts that 22 is slower burning than 15.
Not sure what else I can use this powder for, any good .270wsm loads? Maybe W.S.S. will be kind enough to let me exchange it

Thanks

I have loaded a 174 grain Match King with 54 Grains of RL 22 and Federal 210 Primers .It's a nice slow burning powder that I have had surprisingly good results with for many non magnum cartridges..

As always this may not be an accurate load in your rifle, start lower and work up a load...

Cool thanks for the info!

Oh ya! I guess it would help also if I included what weight of bullet and such,
I will be using Hornady 150grn sp and winchester primers.

]If you seat your bullets about 1 calibre deep, you will have room for about 54 grains. The "bad" news is that the resultant velocity (from QuickLoad) will be down around 2500-2600 fps, depending on how long, or short your barrel is.
You might want to consider going the way that "gpracer mentions, using a heavier bullet will likely give better results.
