I'm wondering if there's any sources for bulk 7.62x54R in the lower mainland area, here in BC? I mean anywhere in the valley, I'm willing to drive as far as Chilliwack (I'm out there once a week these days anyway). I sent an inquiry to canadaammo.com, but I can't bank on just one place carrying the stuff, I'd like to find another source. Marstar seems to have lots, but it's the 147 grain Czech stuff and it's kinda pricey , even more-so after shipping! Any help would be much appreciated :D Thanx!

Is that it? Nowhere else to get 7.62x54R? Nobody else know where I can get some?

I just checked Districorp's prices, and Marstar is actually cheaper than them so I'll probably get a crate from Marstar at this point. It's the light 147 grain stuff, which is fine since I have no desire to beat myself senseless with the hard kicking heavy-ball stuff, but still, I wish there were a little more variety :(

It does help, thanx :D

On a related note, does anyone know where to get 7.62x54R used brass?? I've been thinking of getting into reloading for quite a while, no time like the present!

The only manufacturers of brass cased x54R approved for sale in Canada are Prvi, Igman and S&B (win). The only country to widely use brass cases for x54 since WWII is Yugoslavia. I see Yugo x54 in the US sometimes. Your best bet is to buy boxer brass off ebay or from Grafs.

Good to know, sounds like there are more options than I thought :p Where can I get some soft-point stuff, the Igman or whatever it is? I remember SIR having some about a year ago but I haven't seen any since.

If I were to start reloading for this round, where can I get .311 bullets from? I should probably be asking this in the Reloading forum...

The problem with the Igman stuff is that's it's so inaccurate that it's not much of a pleasure to shoot just for the brass.

As for bullets, I use .303 British bullets with no problems. I slugged my barrel to make sure that it's the right size.
