As the title states I am looking for stripper clips. I purchased a set from marstar but they will not feed into the M44's magazine. They are NcStar branded i believe and I have checked to insure that the rims are staggered properly... so now im drawing a blank. do they just need to be polished/ broken in? Any sources on reliable stripper clips?
Thanks,

I have some that are "Aim Sports" brand. They aren't that great. Sometimes they work, but they usually take some fiddling.

I have heard that the mil surp ones are the only ones that work well, but they are hard to find.

I have ten of the brand Corwin Arms sells and they work great for my SVT when they're loaded correctly. I can't seem to get them to work in my 91/30, but they're new production and might need to be broken in a wee bit.

buy them from corwin arms a dealer here

ditto...

Bought a 10 pack, run slick in my 91/30, M44, and SVT-40... No problems with any of them, and I never pay attention to rim-stack, or do the top-round levering thingy. Just slot in the stripper clip, and give a good solid shove with my thumb.

The other thing you might try is rubbing the inside of the stripper clip with some parafin wax (cheap white candle wax) - if you've ever bought the Czech surplus 7.62x39 pre-loaded on stripper clips, you'll notice the stripper clips have a slight coating of wax on them. Once they dry out, they start to jam and get tougher to use.

I haven't needed to do it on the clips from Corwin yet, they just seem to kind of work, but I know others who've tried the wax rub on the NCStar ones and it made it a lot smoother.

YMMV

I bought 2 packs of the NCStar ones, and they work great in the SVT. I had to do some fiddling and filing to get them to work properly in my 91/30, so I had to take a Sharpie marker and write "M" on the 6 I've had to fiddle with so I know which ones work in the Mosin. The modded ones still work in the SVT, though.

I've got a good 2 dozen of the NCStar ones because SVT-40 mags are some expensive toys. They come out of the box awfully tight and I had to work them in some but, they function correctly in both my SVT and my Mosin prior to selling it.
