7.62x54R with 32acp LRN ?

Silly question: Anyone had success (relatively speaking) reloading 7.62x54R plinking load with 32acp LRN cast bullets (in the 77gr range) or lead round ball?
- Looking for something that would be in the same power range as a 22lr out to 25 yards or so... Because hunting rabbits with a Moisin-Nagant might be fun...

Since there are adapters to shoot 32acp out of a 7.62x54 chamber, don't see why it wouldn't work. Be prepared to need filler for the case (synthetic cotton).
