Why would the government ban sales? That's just silly!

More likely is that demand for this calibre is slowing down and traditional surplus importers don't see a big market.

Didn't I see some hunting ammo in Canadian Tire? Or at least a gun store should have it.

I've got a small amount that I picked up at a gun swap meet that I will be reloading for. Check out your local gun shows as there is bound to be some there.

Thought the ban was on mercuric primed ammo. Done to eliminate mercury exposure to the lab techs checking imported ammo. At the same time the govts are subsidising purchase of mercury containing compact fluorescent light bulbs. Go figure.

They list it, but they don't have it. I asked why they don't strike it out like Marstar and others do, and they said that somewhere on the site they mention that supplies may not be available.

...of course they tell you this after you give your Credit Card info.

SIR is now Cabelas, isn't it?
My cousin works at Cabelas in Winnipeg, and mentioned the same thing!
He sold a M-N, then when the guy asked for ammo and couldn't get, the customer canceled the sale.
