7/8 or 1 oz slug mold - does it matter much?

I want to make sure that they will cycle in my semi auto Stoeger. The light shot loads are supposed to be a problem (ie: not cycle properly). I'm thinking that either size slug should kick enough to keep it loading.

2 3/4 or 3" shells? Since you are handloading the lighter slugs can go faster. I personally would go with the 1 oz slugs.

I use the Lee 1oz handload slugs in my pumps and they cycle fine. Not sure about semi autos though.
