In North America, this round is commonly called 8mm Mauser; you shouldn't have any trouble finding it, but it may be a bit more expensive in the hunting bullet loadings.
 
8x57's not hard to find. All the major manufacturers make it. Finding cheap ammo is not so easy.

Probably your best bet is the Igman commercial SP ammo that Districorp sells. It's $10.12 per 20 rds/$253.00 per 500 rds. Since it's relatively rare to find milsurp 8x57 now, this is probably your least expensive option.
 
make sure to stay clear of the american brands of 8mm mauser. They are loaded to such low pressures that the round is basically a 30-30, stick w/ the Euro stuff or milsurp if you can find it.
 
Does anyone have any ballistic info on the Igman ammo they sell for the 8mm at Districorp.

I can't find anything about how this round prefroms.
