Great! just wonderful if you are able to read and understand French.

Unfotunately, I am not. Grrrr!!!

x2.

As a side note, does anyone know what type of pressures 50's Yugo 8mm ball is loaded too?

I fired off about 50 rounds of it on the weekend and there were many times where I couldn't open up the bolt on my k98 at the shoulder (had to do the old 'put it at your hip and pull as hard as you can' trick to open it). The head-space on the gun is fine and it functions flawlessly with 50's czech ammo but the Yugo stuff seems to make it stick. The only thing I can think of that is causing the problem is overpressure in the ammo...any thoughts???

what did the primer look like did it show high pressure. were the cases shinny or dirty that can cause them to stick.

There were no indications of excessive pressure on the primers (cratering, etc) and the cases are clean, not as shiny as factroy new ammo but they are alot cleaner than the 50's czech stuff that works fine.

The only bad thing I've heard about the 50's Yugo 7.92x57mm ball is that the primers are set deeper than in the 70's surplus ammo. This usually results in light strikes and the need to recock the firing pin and try again.

It seems to be worse with the ammo coming from factory 11 as compared to factory 12. You can tell the factory and the year of manufacture by looking in the lower right corner of the label on the box they came in (if you didn't already know.)

EDIT: Yugo ammo is also corrosive, so clean accordingly!
