Are there only 7 sizes of common primers?

-small pistol standard
-small pistol magnum
-large pistol standard
-small rifle standard
-large rifle standard
-large rifle magnum
-shotgun standard (all gauges?)

If so, does someone have an almost exhaustive list of each caliber per primer size? Thanks

Yes, and the magnums are not different sizes, just different cup thickness and charge weight.

It is pretty easy to know what calibers used what, because it is mainly based on what fits in the base, and the name is a good guide.

these are not different SIZES so much as STRENGTHS- large primers are large primers( ie the diameter is the same ) as are small primers
the differnces are 1) cup thickness is thinner on pistol primers
and 2) magnum primers burn hotter and longer ( ie the priming mixture is different) than standards- so in effect you have only 4 SIZES, and 2 strengths- 2 pistol( large and small) and 2 rifle; moreover, they're not really 4 sizes but 2- large and small
the shotguns use the same210 cap for everything

The only sizes that exist (commonly) are small pistol, large pistol, small rifle, large rifle and shotgun.
I have left out primers for the .50 BMG, and Berdan primers.
Why the need for an exhaustive list? You decide on whether or not you need standard or magnum primers, and then use them in the appropriate case. No measuring to do.
