7 mm Rem Mag and H870 powder

Looking for some advise My old speer manual recomends 74 gn start and 78 gn max with a 175 gn bullet but with 74 gn in the case it is full into the champher, I don't think I could get 78 into the case. Thanks for any info, Steve

Use a 6 " drop tube to get it all in - you cannot not get enought in to creat any HIGH pressure anyhow ! Very Safe to use in the 7 mm Rem mag ! RJ

My old hunting load was 70 grns with a nosler 160 partition. The case was up to the bottom of the neck with powder. So it became a compression load. It would shoot 9/16"th center to center groups all day long. Where did you get some h870? And how much is it these days?
