Lesson learnt.
I’ve had great success with the lanolin/isopropyl mixture for the last decade or so, but it’s definitely the problem in this case.
Dogleg was right, a bigger and better bolt got it out.

Last time I got a case stuck bad I set the whole die in a container of WD40 overnight, the next morning the case damn near fell out
