7 Rem Mag build

Lots of guesses on this thread.
Pay attention to the overall length of the cartridge, and how much of the bullet takes up valuable powder space. The RUM is a fine example of this, as is the STW.
A 180 at 3000 fps is very doable, multiple times, from a 7 Rem Mag, 7 WSM, and even a 7 SAUM, you just have to know what you're doing. Bullets, powder, and COAL...

A 280AI, being built off of the only case on the planet, that can't have the suck necked out of it, well, sucks.
It doesn't have the case capacity to hang, and still suffers the same COAL malady as the 7mm Rem Mag.
Not that the length can't be addressed, but a case capacity comparison would handle the answers.

I'm considering a 28 Nosler since I already have a chamber reamer , my hunting spot kind of got really opened up and need something with more energy than the 260 I was using .
The energy and flat shooting of the 28 Nosler is hard to beat it will push a 180 really fast

You will have to push that 7mm rem really hard to get 3000 fps with a 180 and will need like 30" to get you there
