Looking to add to the Safari Arms collection. Can a person get one in Canada or is there a caliber restriction thing I don't know about.

Legally you are absolutely free to buy one...........but a double Holland & Holland will set you back nearly 1/2 mill...............you got way more money than I !!!!!!!!! Last I looked they were 350,000 British pounds............

Oh and just for clarity that would be .700 NE..........not .70 NE..........Holland & Holland are also taking orders for .600 NEs again for about 300,000 BP

Anyone know of anyone with a .700 in Canada?

Kynoch factory ammo is pretty absurdly priced for any cartridge. Woodleigh makes bullets which traddex stocks. Brass life would be quite long so once you source brass (which is probably absurd) it wouldn't be too cost prohibitive to shoot.

Just a couple at the moment: 450 rigby, 458 lott, 460 weatherby

The 458 WM is a ruger #1 that I had a smith rework to the 458 lott and then there the weatherby mark just beautiful wood on it

There's a picture of a .700 NE with a .270 here. Think 1,000 grain bullets with 10,000 plus ft/lbs. and $250US per 5. Be kind of surprised if you could find any in Canada.
Add the W's. .vincelewis.net/700.html
Very much doubt a Ruger #1 is big enough. MSRP is $1449US. Almost, but not quite 20 rounds. Still cost you a kidney to shoot. snicker.

There was a guy from Ontario that used to post on AR that had one. Not an H&H but Searcy built. I think he may have been a member here or on HBC. Used to go by the handle 700 Nitro.

If I remember correctly, an H&H double rifle in .700NE weighs in at about 20 pounds (and will cost about 13 pounds of gold at current prices, and will take between 18-24 months to deliver) and still delivers a hellacious recoil punch! I'd hate to try it in a lighter gun...

I'd like to see a 450Rigby. How close are you to SJ? .... or pics would be good too. :)

I think you guys are confusing the .700Nitro with the .70Nitro, a wildcat that is now being legitimized as the .70Ruger. See Gatehouse for details.

It's the New Emperor!
