Once again, CT has a digital caliper on sale, but this time it comes with a micrometer....70% off, now $20! Sale starts on Dec. 10th until the 16th. Go to the CT website and search for item #199-1102-0.
 
Nice deal, but it says it's the regular price.

Go to Canadian Tire website and see the curent flyer. I bought the set for $20 last night. Thanks for the heads up.
 
Thanks for heads up, Am going to go look. I just read the add and it says digital caliper and the 1" micrometer for $19. That is a heck of a deal, the micrometer is usally $35 for just it.
 
This is a good price but that caliper goes thru batteries like a kid thru jelly beans. You can buy batteries for it cheap at a dollar store but its still a nuisance.
 
Hit my local Cdn Tire, they are out of stock and this is a no rain cheque item. If you want one you bettter get at it, they have been on sale since the 10th and the store is packed with shoppers.

I got the last two in stock today. One for me, one for a Christmas present. The batteries they come with are garbage. Pick up a pack of LR44 at Princess Auto and hit the OFF button when you're not using them. A battery lasts me at least a year.

Ditto here the mic is out of adjustment , and there is no set screw to loosen and re zero . The caliper is 1.5 thou out on known bullet diameters ! If you are going to buy one I sugest taking a bullet of your choice and checking it in the parking lot ( to see if it is accurate ) and to save yourself a trip across town in X-mas traffic and crowd ! GMHO!!!
 
I got just the caliper a few weeks back and it works fine. At first I was going to return it as the digital scale was reading 50% of the actual measurement. Then I changed the battery with the extra one that they included and now it is reading dead on.
