700 5-R Barrel contour question

...how close is the factory 5-R mil-spec barrel to the actual M24 SWS barrel profile? Anyone know for sure...just curious.

The 5R barrel is recut from the m24 profile into the factory Rem Varmint profile. So m24 rifling on the inside, varmint contour on the outside (though a Varmint is 26" and this is 24").
