$700-$900 hunting rifles

I've been looking into a .308 gun in the same price range. I have narrowed it down to an browning x-bolt hunter, tikka t3 hunter or winchester model 70 featherweight. I'd have the featherweight if it had a detachable magazine, but since it doesn't I'm leaning towards the browning.

Since you say you want a wood stock I would steer clear of T3 as I find their wood stocks lack character. Winchester and CZ seem to have decent wood stocks with some unique character to them, IMHO

Sako if it's in your price range. Older the better. Stay away from these new plastic combo pkgs. that come with a 22 suitable scope only!
