700 LTR R3 but pad

Has any one replaced the stock 700 LTR pad with the R3, is their a noticeable difference ? Whats involved in the change out? would it be possible to cut an inch off the pull and then install the R3 ?

My gunsmith changed out the regular pad with the limbsaver (same thing) cut to fit. I'm not sure but I think the stock on the LTR is an HS precision and can't just be unscrewed and replaced. I believe it has to be "glued" in place. ould be wrong don't quote me on that one. That being said the limbsaver or R3 pad sure brought up the comfort level on my .300 win mag. I can bang away with it all day long in a t-shirt with no problems.

this may not help you but i installed an R3 on my Rem 870 shotgun
made a huge difference
especially with the 3" heavy game loads
could shoot it al day long
goin thru more ammo is more expensive though
