700 Rem Actions

Are all 700 actions the same...regardless of if they come on a Sendaro or SPS? Plan on doing a rebuild and do not want to spend more than necessary for an action, so would buy the SPS if the "quality" is the same!
Also, any difference between "new" and "old" 700 actions?

I have measured some old and some new actions before truing them...

I have had both quite far off and both quite good.

...so the conclusion is they vary...

It does not really matter because for $150 and up either old or new actions can be trued.

For other than the sake of curiosity I don't bother checking them in advance anymore... I just set up and true them.

The old actions don't have the anti bind bolt.

Some older 700's have holes on the side of the action for an iron sight mount if you are so inclined to shoot target rifle with irons.
