I wanted to reply to this last night but it got too late. I came back this morning to post my reply to what Alberta Tactical wrote specifically and it's gone. What's the deal and who deletes these posts??? Anyways I'm also a big fan of Jewel since I can change the supplied springs for an even lighter pull.
###, how many people work for you? You mentioned in your reply post, "WE carry jewel." I understand you work out of your house. How many people do you have working for you on a full or even part time basis?? IF you're a one man show then let people know you're a one man show. There's nothing wrong with that but when you going on forums like this and talk you're an International company you're leading people to believe you're company you're really not. I was just on your website and couldn't find anything about triggers at all. You've got wind flags, .22s and a couple hunting rifles, but NO triggers. Where are your prices??? I don't want to have to call someone every time I want to get a price from a seemingly large international company. I've PMed you on other questions I've had regarding building me a gun and you were interested in what I did for a living and where I worked then actually moving on with the sale of a custom built rifle. You wasted my time, what little free time I actually do have. I hope you can learn from this. I am also curious if the rest of your post that states forum members must by from the people who pay for advertising is CGN mandate or your self serving spin. Last I saw, people were supposed to be able to get their questions answered by others on the forum and get directed freely to those suppliers of whatever specialty is needed. Has this site become some what "Stalinist" the way it is run.

I don't mind buying Canadian products (or from canadian retailers). Last year I got a Robertson stock instead of a McMillan.
For example Joe's (###) price for Berger bullets (7mm 180g) 36CAD isn't bad. Last year I got 1000 of them from Lockstock.com for 23USD per 100, but I paid a lot in shipping, and both taxes. I imagine that I'll order from Joe next time.

Sometimes though, I get the impression that people want to make it sound like it is very difficult to order anything from the US. They just order triggers or dies from Lockstock or Bruno's and then raise the price way up, for what?

If the price is reasonable, and the delay might be less, then I'll order from one of these companies. If I think that the price is just way more, and I can get it as easily myself, then I will. Sometimes if you want a certain kind of barrel etc, no one here is going to stock it.

@destroyer

Besides being an a$$hole customer, you also appear to know sh*t all about business. Seriously, are you 12?

I don't see the problem with someone trying to get to know their customer. Makes sense from a customer service/relationship point of view and makes sense from a business point of view. I don't know if I would want to build a rifle if I didn't know the person could pay for it. I have dealt with Joe previously and found him to be a top notch guy. Why would anyone want to build a rifle for someone who would publicly berate them for apparently no good reason.

John

I can understand prequalifing a customer, especially on a big build, but I have never seen need to ask about a persons position or job title.
Needless to say I have no idea what was asked, but found this fellow easy to deal with and straightforward. A person who had certainly done his homework.
He had specific criteria for the project, I answered his questions as best I could and am now building a BIG dollar custom rifle for him.
I have learned if a client "wants" to tell you about himself he will, if not as long as I know his intentions are positive and the checks don't bounce I am happy.

I think he does raise a valid point on whether any advise that does not directly benefit those who advertise on the forum, should be deleted, or berated.

I'm relaxed, just saying its upsetting to hear that peoples input is deleted, thought a public forum was public. Makes you wonder how much other input and opinion has been missed? Or was there nothing deleted?

I love Canjar!! the Jewell is for the wife, she said she needed more jewellry and I thought this is what she meant, it is isn't it.:confused: :confused: ;) :D

Can I borrow that? Next time the wife says I missed something, I can give her some Jewells and a kiss to make up, think it will fly???
