i kwow the price are higher for the 700 LTR but
both look like the same...may consider the model 700 P ?
 
I have a VTR in .308 and I like it. A little bit different than the SPS varmint. The sps stock is nice I don't care for the thick pistol grip HS stocks. My VTR is 8lbs with weaver rings and a Burris 3-9.
