700 SPS vs. 700 BDL SS DM

OK, so here's the question...do I buy the new Remington 700 SPS stainless synthetic with hinged floorplate magazine, $679 @ WSS, or do I go with a new 700 BDL stainless synthetic with detachable metal magazine, $760 new in box from another retailer???...both of these rifles are chambered for .30-06 and really speak to me in terms of looks and feel, the only difference I see is that the BDL has had more work on finishing the barrell to a satin look while the SPS finish is much rougher. Also the SPS comes with the Limbsaver recoil pad. The BDL has also been out of production for 3 years. I have to decide soon...deer season in the interior is happening now!!!

If it were my money I would go with the BDL. Better made rifles all around.

if you like the DM, go with the SS DM

I would, and did, buy the SPS and restock it in a nicer stock.

I don't like those DMs in a bolt rifle.
