700 vs 700 SPS action

Hi,

What is the difference between a remington 700 action (let's say VTR) and an SPS action? Why would I want a remington SPS action for my build vs the regular Rem 700 action?

Yup, about right. I'd just buy a stainless action at that point.

The main difference between 700s is the DM may don't have feed ramps

I've owned a stainless (5R) and the SPS.

The 5R feels a lot better. Much smoother and seems to be much less play.

I actually have a 5R rifle and L/A stainless at the moment.

If you buy or build, I'd suggest paying the extra for the stainless version.
