I took a quick look around and no one speak about that.

Does the triangular barrel could be upgraded by a standard one to upgrade the riffle, and does the life spam of such a barrel his the same has a normal one?

I think what you are asking is:

Can you swap a barrel on a Remington 700 VTR, and does it improve the life of the barrel?

Yes, a gunsmith could upgrade the barrel on any Remington 700 and the life of a barrel depends on the cal and the TLC if receives. A higher quality barrel does clean up better and may increase the life, but a 223 barrel will last longer than a 300 WM.

Do you have a VTR and if so, what cal is it?

I don't have one, I am looking forward to buy my first long range riffle. VTR his among the list of my possible future rig (it will be in .308 or .243).

My question was more due to the unusual shape of the barrel, could that change its life spam.

A Remington Action is a Remington Action. they are excellent platforms for upgrading. I predict one day we will look back that that toblerone barrel BS and say, "what the hell were they thinking??"

Yes a "real" barrel can be used to replace the triangular abortion screwed onto the VTR rifles.
If serious about long range forget the VTR. Strange looking barrels do not make an accurate rifle. They do make great marketing gimmicks though.

I know, I will most probably end up getting 1 savage 10 Fp or a rem varmint in .243

I am just keeping my option open. I am closer and closer to buy my starter kit for long range shooting
