700 vtr who has one

I have been looking at pickup a 700 VTR in 308 anyone have one ? I am going in to put my hands on one tomorrow. Any insight would be great.

I own one in 243 Win:

• short
• light
• very loud
• very accurate.
• 50$ plastic throw away stock
• "distinctive" very rigid triangular barrel

It's a great little rifle and I love it very much but I had to upgrade the stock (come with the same stock as the SPS).

Barrel is a gimmick, stock is cheap but usable, and a basic 700 past that.
