Curious more or less how much weight my 700LSS (not a mountain rifle) will loose after a 2 inch reduction in barrel length and a 1 inch reduction in the length of pull???
This will help you calculate the weight reduction when you chop the barrel. As you can see if won't be much. Sorry I can't help you with the weight reduction of the stock.
weigh the gun before you chop. weigh the pieces after you chop. subtract the combined weight of the 2" of barrell and 1" of stock, from the original weight of the gun. 2" of barrell + 1" of stock = weight reduced
