700LTR, what bipod?

after much consideration i ended up getting a harris series s model L 9-13 inch, but i'm a big boy most poeple go with 6-9 inch i like this model because it has leaf springs that level the rifle when not in use, just my two cents.

I had a 6-9br swivel one, but in retrospective, i wish i had gone with the 9-13. I would need to almost fully extend the legs when shooting from a bench anyways.

The Harris 9" - 13" model is the most versatile & popular model for shooting from the bench or shooting prone.

This depends on what/how you are going to be shooting most of the time.

SKBY.

For prone sniper matches , I use the 6-9BR swivel model (uneven mounds). I also keep another 7-12" swivel model for hunting purposes. If I need to swap them for bench, testing, and lending out, I can.

So if you are not sure, plan on getting both lengths. Maybe stick the other on your .22LR practice/training sniper rig.

See what works for you.

Barney

HBRM-S 6-9", nothing else... The 'M' is for leg notches, very useful. Swivel is also a must to compensate for an uneven ground.

+1000 for 6-9" Harris Series S :)

just another 10cents....go to the store, take one (for example 9-13")...try it at the range....if you don`t like it, come and exchange to another one....
my first bi-pod was 6-9 non-swivel model....returned at the same day....than I got 9-13 S model....ended up with 6-9 S model with notched legs....like it :)
regards
