700p or a Milspc5R for 1000yards

I think the biggest Benefit would be spending time at the range, Trying out on different bullet, Primer, Powder Conbination...

5R has a 24 inch barel and 1-11.25 twist
700P has a 26 inch barel and 1-12 twist.

If you want to shoot 1000, get the 26 in barrel. You want to be well above the sound barrier( 1100 fps), because shock waves begin building on the bullet nose within 300fps of it, or so, or 1400fps. I'd use 154gr Scenars and don't spare the coal.
