I know I should probably post this in The Lounge or something, but there was lots of good milsurp #### in it so I thought I'd share it here. Lots of M1 Garands, Mosin 91/30s, PPShs, and even an SKS or two.

The movie is Korean, set during the early stages of the Korean War. It's about 71 students turned soldiers who held a school for 11 hours against and overwhelming North Korean attack. 48 of the 71 were killed. This is by far one of the best war movies I've ever seen.

And here it is on Youtube, although it's only in 240p.

Thanks

 Thanks for the movie! I wasn't going to watch it but ended up doing it anyway. Reminded me of the movie Brest Fortress. My father fought the Korean War from Japan with the 1st MAW. He kept a deactivated rocket from one of those "new" Super bazookas on his dresser. It's sad most American school kids don't know about the Korean War or much less where Korea is.

I believe I also caught a glimpse of a CZ52 in there as well as the other gun ####. Wish they could have come up with a T34 rather than a Sherman for the N. Koreans.

Cool movie, but I thought that most of the 91/30s looked like Finn M91's? :confused:Also interesting that the "Evil Officer" from the North carried a Nambu Type 14, I would have thought a TT33 or a Nagant revolver would be more relevant? If I am out of line, please pardon my ignorance, I am not familiar with this era of war...

Communist forces in every battlefield were noted for using whatever was available. I believe there are pictures of north Koreans with enfields as well

I have to go out for the day so I was just able to watch the first 7 minutes. Yeah, it sucks you right into the story. Its tough to tear yourself away. Can't wait to watch the whole thing.

That's what I have heard too.N Koreans got a lot of old arms from Chinese before being equipped by Russians.
At one time Chinese Army ( Nationalist and later Communist ) had just about every imaginable small arm made in its inventory.
Chances are they still do somewhere ( I hope)
