Well I took possession of a Remington 7615 Police for Christmas. I purchased 2 boxes of Winchester White Box 55 gr. FMJ $9.99/box, 2 boxes of Federal Premium 55 gr. Sierra Gameking HPBT $27/box and 1 box of Winchester 64gr Powerpoints $28/box. I headed to the range today for sighting in the new rig w/ 3-9x40 Leupold VX-I sitting on top of it.

So, I start with the cheap white box ammo for sighting in purposes @ 25 yds. and after 5 shots and I'm on target :). I move out to 100 yds and again white box ammo 3 shots......2 shots are touching. Beginner's luck I figure. 3 shots Federal Gamekings probably 1.5" group OK right? Then I try 3 shots with white box again......2 touching and overall .75" group :D. So then I try the 64 grain Win Powerpoints.......2 touching AGAIN!!! overall group approx. 1". And finally back the Federal Gamekings 3 shot group approx 1.75".

I am a happy camper those 7615's shoot :D and you can let them go in a hurry if you have to! The best part is the cheapest ammo available is the best :ar15:. 2 words - love it. Smack talk them all you want cause I ain't listening :).

Wow that's impressive. I've had a 7615 for awhile and just bought a weaver base for it the other day as I've suspected it was way more accurate than the ghost ring sights could acheive. I'm looking forward to putting my 4x leupold on it. Welcome to the 7615 club.

Welcome to the 7615 world. You"ll have fun with this gun. I love mine, and its a great alternative to the other 223's out there. Stock up on ammo. You're going to burn through it!
What did you scope it with?

The Ranch version is a nice looking rifle. But, I find the Knox stock makes it easy for my wife to shoot this rifle.
