7615 stock interchange

I have a 760 that now wears an 870 stock. The stock bolt is the same, as is the inletting. The 870 stock however is bigger around on the sides and top and will require some filing/grinding to fit flush with the action. Not a big job. I don't know about the 7615 as I haven't handled one. I would assume they are the same, but you know what they say about assuming

Just curious, does anyone know if the 7615/7600 stock is interchangable with 870 stocks?

Yep it is. I have a 7600 Police in 308 fitted with a Mesa Tactical High tube 870 adapter. There's other guys around here with 7615s fitted with Brobee 870 adapters and TSA adapters. Most of us have also mounted ACE or Stormwerx folding mechanisms as well as skeleton stocks or collapsible stocks.:D

I've got a Knoxx (without recoil absorbtion) on mine. It was cheap & fits perfectly. Looks quite ugly though. Even the 7615P with the Speedfeed stock uses an 870 width stock that has been rounded off where it meets the receiver.
For some reason I can't post pics on the forum or else I would for you.
I think the Knoxx was under $100 at Target Sports/Shooting Edge.

Tried an 870 12gauge stock on my 7615P and it was too big. 20gauge 870 fit is the way to go. My mesa collapsible fit ok but it too was alittle oversized.
Have an ATI collapsible on it now, it's junk, will be switching it out shortly. Has anyone put a butler creek or other folder on theirs. Does it put it under 26"?

My factory 7615, the ajustable stock is great IMO

Don't think Rem is exporting the tactical anymore:mad:

I ordered a Knoxx Specops NRS Shotgun stock from The Shooting Edge this week for my 7615. You will want to order the stock for a Remington 870 20 gauge in order to get the proper fit for your 7615.

Regards,

Chizzy
