I'm not interested in a slammed shut stoppage during a competition with the clock running, and would rather not have to run all cartridges through the rifle prior to a match, to make sure that there won't be any problems.
No doubt once the barrel extension has seen some use, the first BCG will be OK with this barrel.
Would you consider a 5.56 spec. chamber to be a sloppy machinegun chamber?
When I set up a bolt action target rifle, I like to feel the Go as the bolt closes. A bolt action rifle has a lot more camming action on closing than an AR, and there is no comparison when primary camming power for extraction is concerned.
Well, if it matters, I've got about 300 rounds through my 18" now, and every single one of them have chambered properly, on their own. My BCG already had about 700 on it though, so, there's that, but, anyways....
