I'm trying to figure out what shot I can use with this. It's a 77c Stevens 12 ga 2/34" but I dont have any other info than that to go off of right now. I've been told bismuth but be wary. I don't even know if its a full fixed choke or not. Any help with this would be awesome. Please help

The barrel is usually marked with the choke designation. F=Full, M=Mod=Modified, IC=Imp Cyl=Improved Cylinder, CYL=Cylinder. Post pics of the barrel markings, choke stamp is usually near gauge stamp.

If there are no markings on the barrel then contact a gunsmith who can measure bore and exit diameter.

Well - You can certainly use any lead shot. A rough test for choke - a full choke will not pass a dime at the muzzle. You can probably shoot 2 3/4 steel through the gun using nothing larger than #4 shot. However, a full choke will tend to blow the pattern. An option would be to shorten the barrel slightly to open the choke to something like IC.
Before investing any money/time in the gun, you should check it for function.
