all you 7mm Rem mag shooters
I have some 7828 in the dispenser and want to load some 140 Accubonds to take the range tomorrow and shoot with the 160 gr Sierra loads.
Anyone getting mind altering groupe with 7828 and 140 gr. bullets. Thanks FS

Try working up to around 3175-3200 fps, approx 66.5 to 68.5grs +/- depending if your rifle is a 24" or 26"

7828 is slow burning for the application of 140gr 7rm, better suited to 160gr or heavier

I've used 7828ssc in a couple custom 7rm and got good results. One rifle shot the 145gr Barnes LRX, the other a 150gr TTSX

7828 works well in my 7 Rem with 140s and 150 NBTs and 160 Accubonds. Its also one of the best in the similar sized 270 Weatherby. Ive got so much of this powder that it was getting tried first in a lot of cartridges. The only way to find out is to try it.

My tikka t3 in 7rm likes 7828ssc alot. Good groups for me with 69gr and 139 ssts or interlocks. Gets MOA or better if I'm up to it.
My hunting load is 67.5 gr 7828 and 150 gr TSX. 4 down, 2 DRT, trim up to the hole and no lead in the kids food.
Practice rounds I use 66 of 4831 and 139 interlocks. Group well and cheap(er) to shoot.
As always, your mileage may vary... do the workup.

Thanks Dog, great to hear from some fellows who have enjoyed success with 140 gr. bullets, I have some 150 Partitions I should try as well.........FS
