there is a 32 under the barrel that matches make under stock

I believe its a 48 as marked on barrel by broad arrow. correct me if im wrong

the magazine is not correct for that rifle.

Its for the No2 rifle based on the SHtLE

but if it works that would be a nice additions.

CNo7 rifles came with a mag body to catch the empties or one with a loading platform.


It is a very interesting mag however. What markings ? perhaps its Aussi manufacture ?

its the British #7 Mk 1 produced for Royal Air Force after WW2 made at the same time as the C#7 and the magazine is numberd matching the rifle

I have a C#7 and this is the Mag for it
and it has a Parker hale sight that's marked PH5DC i haven't seen one that has both D and C marked on them , I have a PH5d on a Mk8

You have a Brit No7. The mag is "right as rain" for this rifle. Enfield build the mags on No1 and No4 housings. The Parker Hale sight has been added.....some times see original Brit No7 sights available however it will be very pricey...a lot more than the PH 5c sight. The only thing I see on the rifle that should be changed is the Canadian marked butt. ...needs a Brit Beech butt to match rest of the furniture.

Do not confuse the Brit No7 with the Canadian CNo7. Both are totally different rifle...very nice find...what did you have to pay for this?

There was a C No 7 complete with transit box sold at Switzer's Auction last weekend. I'm certainly not an expert but rifle was not as nice as 3 of the 5 that were assigned to our local Army Cadet Corps. I didn't see the transit box and didn't know it was there until gun come up for sale. Rifle sold for 1400 plus 10% buyers premium and tax. Not in my price range!!
Our local Cadet Unit had it's # 7's recalled to Trenton 5-6 years ago. My understanding is that they were going to be converted to DP's.
They were nice rifles and a piece of Canadian military history plus a "small" chunk of the taxpayers money is gone forever

I went in person , but was only able to attend on the Sunday . otherwise I would have bid on the "V" Lee Enfield.
ok I might be a little poorer than I already am .I was fretting somewhat not knowing what it would go for , but my Misses who is very loving and forgiving
said no matter what your leaving with that rifle , even if it puts us in the poor house lol

interesting, you learn something new every day.

its a nice looking mag, but something I dont know enough about ;)
