7mm-08 Plinking 140 gr – Berger VLD Hunting or Sierra HPBT Game King?

Another option is using SST's for target practice/general shooting. The interbonds are almost interchangeable (same BC) and can be used as your "good hunting bullets".

Err on second thought leave the Hornady bullets for me.

I am not knocking Hornady in the least, they work well for many shooters, but for some reason whenever I tried them I always fall back to a particular two brands , they just always edged out the Hornady.

Yes. ABLR....Accubond Long Range. Backordered for a year, found some and bought 200, if I find more I'll grab them without hesitation. A bit expensive for plinking though...I just bought a 223 for that;-)

That's the plan with the left over loaded SST's developed for hunting. I have left some as a benchmark to see if this OCD on case prep for future loads/bullet combo's makes a difference....or just highlights that it's just my poor marksmanship...but I have pulled a lot apart. I'll put a few into the hopped up cartridges to give a fair assessment on accuracy.

SST inventory will not be depleted by me. No worries ;)

I am learning just that. It's another part in the equation of experience I am gaining in this reloading thing.

Thanks for the response.
