7mm-08 powder suggestions

Was loading some 7mm-08 for my daughter today when I noticed I was running low on my H 335. As I have to go to the shop for powder was wondering if any of you have any other powder suggestions for me. Have heard that both Varget and H 4350 are good alternatives. Any thoughts out there???

for a lower recoil load, H4895 would be a good option, you can load it quite down without any issues

Not the number one choice for most but mine loves IMR 3031.

When I had my 7mm-08, best load I ever found was 40.1 gr IMR 4064 and 168 match kings

Have had good success in my savage 99 7mm08 with H4895..H335..Reloder 15..Imr3031..Imr4350 in the 115 grain to 140 gr. weights and 175 Hornadys with Reloder 15

I've been using 140 grain core-loks on top of 40 grains H 335 (practice) and 140 grain TSX with 39 grains H 335 (hunting). I'm upset as I was just looking in the (new) Hodgdon's manual and they list max. as 37.5 grains but my old Hodgdon's manual lists 41 grains as max. Any thoughts ... I don't have any excessive pressure signs but I don't like being over the new max.

since you need to pick up some new powder you might as well get something that is more suitable for the 7-08, unlike the H335 which would be better in a 223

you probably cant stick enough 4350 or RL19 in a 7-08 case to get into pressure problems

These loads are max in my rifle and all came from load data in
manuals printed early 1980's before everyones manuals started printing lawyer proof loads..
