Trying to build the ultimate long rang /tactical/goat hunt rifle.
Waiting on a Krieger ss ,varmit rem contour,28" 1-8.5 twist.
Building off rem 700 ss action which I will have trued,
Jewel trigger. Mcmillian A5.
I just can't decide between a 7mm/300wsm or 7mmSaum.
Are cases available for the Saum?
What are the pros and cons between the two?
Thanks all
Che'

338 edge.....heavy barrel. uses 300 ultra mag cases necked up to 338 so the brass aint to big of a deal.. 330 grain hollow points have as much energy at 1000 yards as a 308 does at the muzzle...i know some one that can build it for ya...

Hi Che'

Here is a link that should point you toward the 7mmSAUM.

Personally I would go with a 7mm-300RCM in a Rem 700 long magnum action throated to handle the 168-180 Berger VLDS. Feed well in Remingtons with or without clip. If you want to use a short action the 160 Nosler Accubonds will fit in the magazine when seated about 0.030" from the lands. A single stack clip would work the best. You could form brass and neck size with 7mmSAUM Dies. I plan on ordering Hornady Custom FL dies.

I plan of doing one myself and would be glad to help you put yours together.
