Hey there, I'm new to the forum but i thought I'd reach out and try to gather some knowledge from the community. My landlord who I have an excellent relationship with recently told me about a 7mm that he had stuffed away in his closet for the last 20 years, he wants to sell it as his PAL is expiring and he has no interest in renewing it at his age. I'm just curious if anyone knows much about these rifles, what model it may be, and if anyone is willing to give me a ball park price to offer him. I did some digging in the GN forums and it looks like they are great guns, I'm just curious if anyone has more specific/firsthand experience with them. I'm not a collector and I'd be buying it to hunt with as I've always wanted a 7mm. Cheers and thanks for your time!

Model 1900 a version is still made today. Excellent quality under appreciated guns. Push feed with camed lugs. Made by husqvarna originally then subsequently lots of others.

Value cheap like well under 1k

Just google 1900 and go down the rabbit hole

Beautiful rifle. If the bore's good and there are no cracks aft of the tang, totally go for it. There are few rifles as good in terms of quality as the Swedish Mausers. I went down the rabbit hole, and sold a brand new rifle in favor of a 70-year old Husky 1640 in the same caliber.

Enjoy.

Husqvarna Deluxe rifle with Carl Gustaf’s name on it 🤷🏼‍♂️ excellent rifles . JMO RJ

Thank you! I did have a peak at that thread but was unsure of the model until now

It’s definitely in excellent shape apart from a few small scratches etc, thank you for the recommendation and advice!

OP - be aware for decades that "7 mm" referred to the 7x57 cartridge - circa 1940's, Roy Weatherby introduced the 7 mm Weatherby Magnum. I am also aware of 7x61 Schultz and Larsen, and 7 mm Rem Mag - all are different to each other - take a look what is stamped on that barrel chamber area - usually on the left side, above the wood line, but not always, and then hope someone has not run in a reamer at some point in the past - without altering the factory stamping - else you could end up with a pile of shells that are not correct for that rifle.

As it sits I would think $700 at low end. Top might be grand, I would offer low end as it’s not something I would keep. To flip you would need to be about $600
Okay thanks for the info as i couldn't find much online for a value. Cheers
