"...buy the 7mm Mauser surplus ammo..." From where? If you find any military ball 7mm Mauser in cases, it's collector ammo. Hasn't been used by any major military since before W.W. I.
Sellier and Bellot loads SP's.
"...Any modern rifles..." Any rifle chambered in it will be fine.

Not so Sunray, Brazil, several other South American countries, Mexico, Spain and many others including some in Africa and the far east used the 7x57 right into the 60s.
arhuomam, that stuff is more than likely corrosive. I had a bunch of Brazilian surplus that was dated 1955, it wasn't corrosive to my surprise. If it's Spanish, it will almost certainly be corrosive.

FS, if that stuff is late 50s production, non corrosive and clean, comes in its issue crate etc, it would sell for $.80/round in a heartbeat at any show. Maybe more. For one thing, it's rare to find these days. The Brazilians quit making it when they converted to 30-06 and used up most of their supplies. In 1976, it wasn't at all unusual to see rural police armed with 7x57 K98 Oberndorfs Model 1908 and model 1935. I saw several and even though they were worn, they were well maintained. Their big problem was getting ammunition issued to them from the government. They were being promised new semi auto and full auto rifles but they hadn't turned up yet. They did have new Taurus 38 special revolvers, with a flat dark brown finish. They only had 18 issued rounds for those as well.

And if it is the Spanish corrosive product? The guy asked for an approximate value on an unknown product. FS

I looked on the Midway site out of curiousity (in the U.S.) and they list lots of 7 mil mauser soft point rounds. The PRVI is a real deal but out of stock and of course then there's the little problem of getting it here. I was surprised however at how may types there were including Hornady, Norma, Remington, etc.
