Been trying out some 168gr vld's and am having a bit of a tough time. After finding the oal "sweet spot", all of the sudden my 3rd shot is dropping about 2-2 1/2" and 1" left (first 2 shots are always side by side within an inch at 200 yrds) Repeated this group 3 times today and a friend shot the same group twice, so at least i know it isn't me. Have been working with berger on this by e-mail, customer service is definately A+ in my opinion, but haven't found a "cure" yet.
Have done this with a clean and dirty barrel, shooting "hot" or waiting for the barrel to cool, same results. Starting to get a little frustrated, as they first grouped around 1 1/4" consistently. My sierra gameking and nosler accubond loads still shoot the same as always, so i think i can rule out the gun, also.
Any suggestions?

When in doubt load up some Nosler ballistic tips or a few Hornady SST's and go to town. Some bullets just don't work in some sporters. A-Max's should shoot great in almost anything, and a 7mm Mag usually has the potential to be a real sniper in any well built bolt gun. The Berger bug hasn't really bit me yet, cause I shoot stuff to hunt with, and I for one ain't sold on VLD's for hunting - interesting blurb on the Barnes website about using target bullets for hunting, About the only thing they don't use is the name "Berger". Hell, it's all about marketing.
