Gents, Ladies:

I have an old 7mm Rem Magnum rifle in the safe, thinking of moving it, not sure what she's worth.

It's marked 'GLOBCO' and the calibre and 'Globe Firearms' on it. Nice checkered wood stock and an old Bushmaster Scope on it with rings.

Any idea? I have never heard of this manufacturer....

Any help appreciated.

GlobeCo was based out ov Vaughn just outside of Ottawa and dis a lot of Bubba work on a variety of milsurps.

Out of business for many years now.

some of their other creations were cutdown enfields and SVT40's reworked for 303Brit ammo.

@woodchopper- thanks, very interesting.

the pics attached are of the rifle. big mauser action and there's 'M' (or 'W' depending on how you look at it one one side of the bolt and a 'N' on the other side.

Globco was a large distributer of firearms. The name has othing to do with who made the rifle.
I THINK at one time they sold Husqvarna rifles with their marking on them.
you will have to take note of proof marks and anything on the action to see who made that particular Mauser action.

"...Globco was a large distributer of firearms..." They did a lot of "sporterizing" of milsurps too. With poor QC. Most of the SVT 40's woodchopper speaks of have bad headspace.
