7mm Rem Mag ????

Ok boys I have a 7mm Rem Mag. My problem is my longest shot will be 50 yds but most likely 30 yds. &mm is way to much for that but if I have to then what ammo should I use?

Slower velocity is key I believe and a bonded bullet? Nosler PArtition maybe.
What do you think??

If i were you i would reload but if not use a nosler partition they are designed to open fast but penetrate deep, a good multi purpose bullet.

The barnes tsx will hold together at any speed that a 7mmremmag can generate.Federal loads the 160gr tsx for the 7mmremmag.

I'd suggest coming up with a good reduced load pushing a 175gr round-nose somewhere around 2400-2500 fps

I'd also recommend a 175 gr bullet, probably a partition.

since you posted it here, I assume you shoot factory ammo

a controlled expansion bullet like a Nosler Partition or Barnes TSX would be the best choice for close range shooting with a 7mm Mag

Federal loads both these bullets in their Vital Shock Premium line, 160 grainers

Yea thats pretty much what I figured, just came back from Accuracy plus with a box of 160 grain nosler partitions. Thanks Tod.
