As of late I have been getting what looks like an oil dent on the shoulder of only the Federal brass.I don't over lube and have checked the die for a burr .Cleaned it out as well. I tried just to see if PMC or Rem brass did this but they come out flawless?Stumped unless it's the brass as I use a lot of Federal in many calibers and never had a problem.Any ideas? Seems odd.

Perhaps that particular lot of Federal brass might be a few thou' longer from headstamp to shoulder, and your die is just contacting on one side...(not all dies are perfectly linear---nor is the press itself)........Back the die off no more than 1/8 of a turn and see what you get.....

Check the vent hole, poke it with a pin to be sure it is not plugged.
