Was wondering if anyone has tried rolling some 7mm RM using 180gr Hornady ELD Match?
more specifically if anyone has tried rolling those using Superformance powder?

I ask because my current distance rifle is the 7mm RM and I like what i have read about the 180gr ELD Match and my dad has been having good luck with them, so i picked up a box of them for doing some testing.
but the funny part is i really like Superformance powder, i use it in my 300WSM hunting rifle and absolutely love the results i get with it.
I was kinda hoping to use it with my 7mm RM before i go out and start testing a bunch of other powders.

so has anyone tried rolling any of those?
if so care to share a safe starting load and a max load?
Hornady loading book does not list Superformance on any 7mm RM loads and a quick look online didn't bring up anything.

Thanks for any help!

I've used Superformance in the 6.5-06 and 7X57 and found the Burn Rate of Superformance to be between 4350 and 4831.

I'd start at 3.0 grs lower than and go no higher than Start Loads for IMR4350

you find it is slower burning than 4350, but you suggest going not * higher than the 4350 starting loads?

perfect everyone, thanks for the info.
now that im on days off ive had some time to read up more on the different powders and it sounds like that Superformance is really good for 300WSM and a couple others but does not work good in most others.
but that H1000 looks good!
think ill start with that and see how its goes.
is it wrong that im looking forward to doing some ladder work?

I think you meant "no higher", not "to higher". Of course if it's slower burning you can use more, but I was being very conservative and suggested starting below and going no higher than a starting load over a chrony as a starting point. I could have said more about the process, but the original question is no longer relevant as the OP has abandonded the idea.
