What do you think of this bullet for deer and black bear out of 7mm velocities

I have some 140gr A/B but I like the price better with the interlocks.

Just wondering if they will hold up? Are they a reliable bullet or should I just stick with the A/B?

I think they should do fairly well, but Ive only shot paper with that bullet (in 7saum & 280 Rem). I was pushing them to 3020 f/s with 62.0 grs RL22 in the m700 SS I had. I use them for cheap practice. In my 7saum, I hunted with the 160 gr Accubond, took one black bear with it with excellent results.

They will do just fine in most cases. I have used them in 7mm Mauser, 7-08, 280 Remington and 7mm Remington Magnum.

They expand reliably, and will certainly drop Deer and Black Bear provided YOU hit them right. They shoot well, are accurate with a bit of load development, and as you say, easy to obtain. I have shot a lot of Moose, Elk and the larger deer in B.C. with this bullet, and I can only think of once that I had to fire a second round. It is also a good weight for flatter trajectory.

I found that the 140 grain bullets were too light for the Magnums. They were designed more for the 7-08 and 280 Remington in mind. The 175s were designed for the Magnums, but more with the Moose/Elk/Large Bear (the ones that can ruin your whole day by eating you) in mind.
