Hi guys,I just put an order in for a rifle chambered in a 7mm STW and was just wondering what are some great powder's for this cartridge?

I'm looking for an accurate powder which ,also has one of the fastest velocity's for the 7mm stw cartridge!

I plan on shooting 150 grain nosler B\T for hunting out of this Rifle.

Any imput would be a help and is welcomed!! Thanks boys,WJ!

i've found imr 7828 the most accurate when near max pressure loads .....

besides that get the cheapest slowest burning powder you can get , because your burning alot of powder each time you pull the trigger .

My own 7mmstw rifles preferred IMR 7828, then R-22 or h-1000. With 26" barrels, and 140gr bullets, the velocities ranged right around 3500fps with a 1 in 10" twist rate.

I had great success with160's & H5010, but it is now out of production. Retumbo works well, as does H1000, Vihtavuori N170 and Reloder 25. The powders initially mentioned are best with the lighter [139/140 gr] projectiles. The STW just begs to be loaded with the 160/162 grainers, since it has the capacity to give them velocities that are suitable for long range work on Moose, Elk, etc. Eagleye. If you prefer the lighter bullets, be sure they are of premium construction, since conventional bullets grenade at close range & STW velocities

I sure hope so. I've got about 200 160gr accubonds and 100 150gr TSX on there way right now, hope my Sako shoots them.:D
